KEYS! OMG!

DING DING DING JACKPOT!

KEYS4

At the beginning of this week a box was delivered to my apartment and I knew there would be some goodies inside but I wasn’t sure to what extent.

KEYS1

Most of my Computer Key Jewelry uses Macbook laptops and finding some monitor/desktop keyboard was like winning the lottery!

KEYS2

Not to mention I have some new keys to work with and I’m definitely going to use some of the keyboard bases for display purposes.

A BIG THANK YOU to Cat Obuhoff for not only rocking some of my Computer Key Jewelry creations but for donating these keyboard to me to use! You’re awesome.

Off to a Craftacular stART!

Last Saturday and Sunday was a nonstop adrenaline filled weekend of shows!

First up was BUST Craftacular in Soho NYC. It was my first time participating and I enjoyed every minute, well except for waking up at 4am to get ready, out the door of my apartment to get there by 8am and then try to stay awake during set up.

How to get out of doing dishes

My away from studio hobby is baking. Last month I made several vegan treats to sell at a local flea market and I spent hours in the kitchen baking up a storm and hand washing dishes. A couple of weeks later I realized something didn’t look normal and turns out I had a nail infection called Paronychia which was due to having my finger soaked over a long period of time. Guess some bacteria decided to take a vacation in my nail/cuticle.

My finger became so tender to the touch I decided to get it checked out. The doctor had to burn through the nail, hurt like a b*tch, and pick at the swollen cuticle to relieve any trapped bacteria and possible puss. After that I was directed to soak my finger 4 times a day and take bactrim twice daily. I could handle that.

Things were looking good. My finger, despite still looking awful was no longer tender to the touch and I could move it without any discomfort. However within a week my over health was a bit off but I figured it was because the season was changing plus I had just ran my first 10K and I was just sore. By the next evening I was covered from head to toe with hives, my lymph nodes on my neck swollen, lips puffy and had sensitive eyes. After not being able to swallow my dinner normally and got dizzy from getting up to fast I prepared to go to the ER.
